Help Gehlen Catholic Earn Free Money Through Dining, Labels, Shopping, Recycling Programs & More! 


Gehlen Catholic offers various opportunities for families to recycle & help the school at the same time.  Check out these options below.  You can participate year-round!  Most importantly, thank you & the participating businesses for your continued support!


  • Printer cartridges, cell phones, laptops, & more.  Send selected empty cartridges & electronic items to the library/media center (from both business & personal use). The school receives cash for the technology needs through these donations. The list changes quarterly. Before dropping off your potential recyclable items, contact the Library or Lori Schuch in the Technology Department or visit no longer accept the cylinder type of cartridges. Any shaped like an empty bottle are not accepted.  Unfortunately those just go in the garbage.
  • Pizza Ranch Wagon Wheels.  Collect the wagon wheels from pizza, chicken, & breadstick boxes.  Collection boxes are located throughout the school or may be dropped in the parish Box Tops collection boxes or in the main office.
  • Red Robin Burgers for Better Schools Program. The more you devour, the more Red Robin donates!Enroll in the Burgers for Better Schools Program at  1% of qualified sales from every check when you use your Royalty card & directly donated to the school of your choice.
  • American Bank & American State Bank Debit Cards.  New in 2018, American Bank & American State Bank launched the Instant Issue Debit Cards showing the Gehlen Catholic School logo.American Bank & American State Bank customers can show their school spirit whenever they use their debit card.$5 of the production fee will be donated to Gehlen Catholic for each card produced.  Stop in & leave with your GCS spirit debit card in minutes!
  • Primebank Gehlen Catholic Visa Credit Card.  Primebank donates annually a percentage of purchases made using the Primebank Gehlen Catholic Visa Credit Card to Gehlen Catholic School.  The proceeds enhance the tuition assistance program.Bonus points are also awarded to you for every net retail purchase which can be redeemed for brand-name merchandise & exciting travel awards.  Call Primebank or Lisa Niebuhr at Gehlen Catholic School.
  • Donate Your Cans, Bottles, & Glass to Gehlen Catholic School.  Redeemed Inc. (formerly the Can Farm) partners with Gehlen Catholic School. During their regular business hours, businesses, organizations, & individuals can return your sorted plastic bottles & cans at Redeemed.  Instead of receiving a nickel (5-cents) back, you can request to have your plastic bottles & cans donated to the school.  Each month, Redeemed will send Gehlen Catholic School a check for the sorted eligible plastic bottles & cans donated to our school.All donations will be allocated to Gehlen Catholic’s most critical needs.  Unlike the former GCAA Can Drive, businesses, organizations, & individuals can bring in eligible sorted cans & bottles to Redeemed throughout the year during normal business hours.  Gehlen Catholic thanks Redeemed, Inc. & you for your support!
  • "Stamp for the Wounded."  Gehlen Catholic School is partnering with the LeMars Legion Auxiliary #241 are collaborating on a project called "Stamp for the Wounded."  All you need to do is cut the right 1/3 off of the envelopes you receive in the mail which have a postage stamp.  Drop off your cancelled stamps (no meters), which remain affixed to the envelope.  The Legion Auxiliary will distribute the cancelled stamps to approximately 200 hospitals throughout the US.  The stamp collection therapy is used by the hospitals with veterans.  Vets sort & soak the stamps to make albums, greeting cards or decorative boxes.
