Legacy Society

Catholic pioneer citizen benefactors, Peter & Catherine Gehlen, founded the Catholic Church and school in LeMars. To honor individuals like you, who want to ensure Catholic education in Le Mars for future generations, the Peter & Catherine Gehlen Legacy Society was established.

You can! Simply remember Gehlen Catholic School and/or Gehlen Catholic School Endowment Fund with a planned gift. Planned gifts are not done simply by the “wealthy.”  There is no minimum amount required. Nor, do you need to reveal the details. All you need to do is inform the Development Office that you have remembered the school and/or Endowment Fund in your will or estate planning. Members who request confidentiality will remain anonymous. 

There are a variety of gift options for your estate planning process. Gift options may include the following: 

• Bequest through Will
• Life Insurance 
• Cash
• Charitable Gift Annuity
• Charitable Remainder Trust 
• Charitable Lead Trust 

Please consult your professional advisor as to these and other option/s, so the needs of you and your family are met.
